Senior Highway Design Engineer/Lead

Your Role

In this role, you will be part of the Transportation team, based in Ontario, and have the opportunity to work on various projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare preliminary design reports, design criteria, and detailed designs for highways, arterial regional roads, collector roads, and local roads.
  • Coordinate and mentor junior staff working within the division.
  • Liaise with clients, sub-consultants, contractors, and construction supervision staff.
  • Assist with proposal preparation for future projects.
  • Ensure compliance with MTO and Metrolinx standards, including municipal and regional design and drafting standards.

Requirements

  • Strong computer software skills with Microstation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ProjectWise.
  • Highly proficient in MTO's software applications CPS and HiCo.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and deliver projects under stringent schedules in a fast-paced turnaround environment.
