About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Caregiver to join our team at Le Gîte du Bel Âge. As a Medical Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient care duties such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as assisting with daily living activities.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a sense of well-being and dignity.
  • Assist with medication administration and other medical procedures as required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control protocols and reporting any hazards or concerns to management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) training, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and Health Care Aide Certificate.
Work Environment

As a Medical Caregiver at Le Gîte du Bel Âge, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk as part of your duties.
