Position Overview

The BFG Medical Clinic is seeking a dedicated Family Physician to provide comprehensive healthcare services to our patients. This role is essential in promoting health and wellness within the community.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Medicine
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in a clinical setting
Key Responsibilities
  • Gather medical histories from patients and their families, as well as collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct thorough examinations to diagnose illnesses and injuries.
  • Assist patients in adopting healthier lifestyles and overcoming detrimental habits.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to establish effective treatment plans.
  • Consult with fellow medical practitioners to assess both physical and mental health of patients.
  • Prescribe medications and implement treatment protocols.
  • Provide prenatal and postnatal care, including the delivery of infants.
  • Offer guidance on healthcare matters to patients.
  • Report significant health events, including births and contagious diseases, to relevant authorities.
  • Deliver counseling and support on various health and lifestyle challenges.
  • Administer emergency medical care as needed.
  • Oversee home care services for patients requiring additional support.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Must be licensed by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Work Type: Permanent position.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
