Position Overview

BFG Medical Clinic is seeking a dedicated Family Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive medical care to our patients.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Medicine
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in a clinical setting
Key Responsibilities
  • Gather medical histories from patients and their families, as well as collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct thorough examinations to assess patients' health and diagnose conditions.
  • Guide patients in establishing healthy lifestyles and modifying detrimental habits.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies, to inform treatment plans.
  • Engage in consultations with fellow medical practitioners to evaluate both physical and mental health concerns.
  • Prescribe medications and implement treatment regimens as necessary.
  • Provide obstetric care, including prenatal and postnatal services.
  • Offer health education and advice to patients regarding their care.
  • Report significant health events, including births and communicable diseases, to relevant authorities.
  • Deliver counseling and support on a variety of health and lifestyle matters.
  • Administer emergency medical care when required.
  • Oversee home care services for patients needing additional support.
Licensing and Work Conditions
  • Licensure: Must be licensed by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
