Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver engaging music classes for various age groups, focusing on skill development and artistic expression
  • Develop dynamic lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and needs

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of music theory and pedagogy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse personalities and learning styles
  • Organizational and supervisory abilities, with a focus on time management and prioritization
  • Proven track record in lesson planning and delivery, with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with community recreation principles and best practices
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and priorities

Qualifications:

  • Formal music training, with a degree or diploma in music education or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, with a focus on music education and community recreation
  • Current Emergency First Aid certificate, with a commitment to student safety and well-being
  • Completion of HIGH FIVE training is a plus, demonstrating a commitment to best practices in youth development and safety
