About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Modelling and Reporting Specialist to join our team at Company 1 - The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company. As a key member of our actuarial team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing technology-based solutions for complex actuarial data analysis requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define actuarial data analysis requirements and work closely with business stakeholders to deliver user-focused solutions.
  • Provide expert delivery and consultation on cloud-based actuarial modelling and software.
  • Design and implement technology-based solutions for complex actuarial data sourcing, transformation, and calculations.
  • Plan and execute Python applications development in collaboration with business subject matter experts and IT partners.
  • Prepare technical documentation and provide expert support during testing phases.
  • Create procedural documentation and provide training to end-users and other key stakeholders.
  • Establish close and collaborative partnerships with business stakeholders and IT partners.
What We Are Looking For
  • Experienced developer with senior data scripting skills in Python and SQL.
  • Ability to deliver user-focused solutions via an iterative and agile development approach.
  • Understanding of actuarial reporting, data discovery, and analysis requirements.
  • User experience practices and design principles in the context of data analytics applications.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate technical concepts effectively.
