- Position Summary
The Parts Clerk is responsible for managing the receipt, verification, labeling, storage, documentation, and security of all parts and supplies within the Parts Room. - Key Responsibilities
- Receive and stock parts efficiently.
- Conduct surveys on pricing and quality.
- Provide exceptional counter service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shelves, bins, and racks.
- Input necessary data into the computer system and ensure its accuracy.
- Generate reports as required.
- Verify the accuracy of information on repair orders.
- Keep the parts facility clean and orderly.
- Manage phone communications effectively.
- Order special parts for repair needs.
- Oversee cores and parts returns.
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed.
- Maintain files and related records meticulously.
- Operate the parts record-keeping system according to corporate and customer requirements.
- Document sales and repair orders following established procedures.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in a parts room is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Proven capability to build strong relationships with colleagues and supervisors.
- Proficient in computer usage.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
