About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our team at VIET BITES KITCHEN. As a cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, following established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Food Safety and Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they meet health and safety standards, and that food is prepared and presented in a safe and appealing manner.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a clean and organized environment that meets health and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgment, organized, reliability, team player, and time management skills.
