About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Bilkhu Welding & Fabrication Inc. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of metal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Metal Cleaning Equipment: Safely operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Assist Fabrication Team: Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, and metal machine operators in the fabrication process.
  • Sort and Organize Materials: Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials to ensure efficient production.
  • Grind and Chip Excess Metal: Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
  • Clean Machines and Work Areas: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Polish Metal Products: Polish metal products to a mirror finish.
Physical Demands
  • Weight Handling: Lift and move metal products weighing up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
Personal Qualities
  • Dependability: Demonstrate dependability and reliability in your work.
  • Team Player: Work effectively as a team player to achieve production goals.
  • Work Term: This is a permanent position.
  • Work Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Hours: Work 32 to 35 hours per week.
