We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at the Tom Baker Cancer Center. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our radiation therapy program.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver prescribed courses of radiation treatment to patients, ensuring accurate and safe treatment planning and execution.
- Assess patient reactions to treatment, document treatment plans, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Provide education to patients on treatment procedures, side effects, and management strategies to mitigate treatment-related side effects.
- Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of radiation therapy protocols and procedures.
- Completion of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy in Canada or an accredited non-Canadian program.
- Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
