Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive technological advancements and evolution
  • Maintain existing infrastructure and plan for capacity
  • Ensure the evolution of current solutions with vendors
  • Influence vendor roadmaps
  • Validate and test in a lab environment
  • Keep users informed of new features
  • Operational Activities
  • Ensure platform and solution availability
  • Respond to user service requests
  • Train new users and employees
  • Deploy new equipment and configure
  • Stay up-to-date with knowledge in various technological domains (Data Networks, Core Networks UMTS/LTE/VoLTE and 5G)
  • Support problem investigations for various network teams
  • Present technical presentations to internal teams and welcome new users
  • Architecture
  • Define the architecture of various national solutions
  • Define architecture for TAP and Aggregators
  • Design strategy for solutions minimizing impact on clients and the network
  • Process Improvement

Essential Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent
  • Skills or experience with tools such as TAP and Aggregators, Network Probes (packet capture, call trace, Business Intelligence), testing platforms
  • Excellent knowledge of IP networks, particularly SNMP, TCP/IP, network technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, Radware)
  • Expertise in UNIX systems (Linux)
  • Linux certification
  • Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible or others)
  • Knowledge of databases (SQL, Oracle)
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (Open Stack, Open Shift, Containers)
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Able to write technical documentation
  • Autonomous and pronounced organizational sense
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and work ethic to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Bilingual (French/English)

  • Knowledge of the Python language
  • Knowledge of Google and AWS cloud environments
  • Knowledge of software development tools and Agile
  • Scrum Master
