Job Summary:
The Finance Director, Decision Support will lead a team of Finance Business Partners and FP&A Professionals to drive strategic, operational, and financial decisions across the Company. Working closely with the Vice President Finance, the Director will create relevant, accurate, and timely information and insights to inform critical business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective planning and forecasting processes to drive accurate financial forecasts.
- Design and deliver timely, concise, and consistent management reporting, including dashboards and recurring monthly business review information.
- Conduct in-depth analysis to identify key drivers of variance in performance and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Lead the company's annual budgeting and forecasting process to ensure alignment with internal and external financial benchmarks.
- Develop and maintain the corporate model and financial plan, driving decision-making through sound modeling and data-driven analysis.
- Collaborate with the Decision Support team to manage Divisional and Corporate level models, ensuring seamless consolidation into the forecast.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes and refine associated processes to enhance transparency and accuracy.
- Support the establishment of long-term business strategy, planning goals, and framework.
- Establish and maintain capital budgeting and reporting processes.
- Facilitate meetings and communications to co-develop and confirm annual plan timelines with key stakeholders.
- Advise and engage senior stakeholders, leading initiatives across cross-functional teams.
Team Leadership:
The Finance Director, Decision Support will oversee a team of Finance Business Partners and FP&A Professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Business (preferably Finance or Accounting).
- Relevant designation: CPA.
- Minimum of ten years of progressive finance or FP&A experience, including a minimum of 3+ years in a FP&A leadership role.
- Experience leading business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for a growing organization operating in multiple jurisdictions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to extract, dissect, and analyze large and complex quantities of data to create actionable insights.
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with strong financial modeling experience.
- Outcome-oriented with an ability to make a difference in short-order.
- Public company experience will be considered an asset.
- Ability to visualize data to convey analytical insights.
