We are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Evertz Microsystems. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing testing software to validate embedded software, as well as developing and maintaining test frameworks for systems being tested on Windows and Linux.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implement Testing Software: Develop and implement testing software to validate embedded software, ensuring that it meets the required quality standards.
- Develop and Maintain Test Frameworks: Design and implement test frameworks for systems being tested on Windows and Linux, ensuring that they are efficient and effective.
- Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts in Python and other programming languages to ensure that software meets the required quality standards.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and manufacturing, to ensure that testing is integrated into the development process.
- Identify and Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and troubleshoot issues with software and hardware, working with cross-functional teams to resolve problems and improve quality.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript (ES6), and other relevant languages.
- Testing Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in software testing, with a strong understanding of testing principles and methodologies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs: Familiarity with RESTful APIs and their application in software development.
- Cloud Computing: Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, and their application in software development.
- Video/Audio Broadcasting: Familiarity with video and audio broadcasting technologies and their application in software development.
