About the Role

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in software and firmware development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain common processes aligned with AS9100 Quality Management System, Capability Maturity Model-Integrated (CMMI), and customer requirements.
  • Apply structured problem-solving approaches using 8D or Six Sigma tools and techniques.
  • Support level of design assurance (DAL) for complex electronic hardware and software, adhering to industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Systems and Electrical Engineering development personnel, test and evaluation personnel, and project managers to ensure seamless integration.
  • Review and approve Electrical Engineering systems, such as test equipment requirements, design and test documentation for compliance to requirements.
  • Identify root causes and associated corrective actions, evaluate process/product performance, and participate in program activities to ensure processes and products meet contractual and company requirements.
Requirements
  • Technical degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 6+ years of product development, manufacturing quality control, or test experience.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including teambuilding and collaboration.
  • Ability to interpret Schematic Drawings, Specifications, Contracts, and related Performance Metrics.
  • Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality systems/models such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), International (ISO), and aerospace (AS).
Desired Skills
  • Software or FPGA Quality or Engineering experience in Requirements Analysis, Design/Development, Product Integration and Test.
  • Good understanding of software dependencies, process flow, and development methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret digital logic design and RTL code (e.g. VHDL or Verilog) to verify implementation of requirements.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Written, Oral, Listening, Presentation, Technical Writing.
