Job Title: Precision Machinist

Groupe Megatech Inc. is seeking a skilled Precision Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining precision machine tools to produce high-quality parts and components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts using precision measuring instruments.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure accurate production.
  • Repair and maintain machine tools and parts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Set up and adjust production machinery and tools to meet quality and production standards.
  • Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments.
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education in a related field.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in precision machining or a related field.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
