We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mine Engineer to join our team at SSR Mining's Seabee Gold Operation in Saskatchewan, Canada.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing best practices in mining engineering processes, procedures, and practices to support the success of departmental targets.
This is a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off schedule with a remote camp location, requiring fly-in fly-out travel from Saskatoon, Prince Albert, or La Ronge.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement infrastructure projects, feasibility studies, and equipment procurement plans.
- Design and automate reports, analyze data, and provide technical documentation to support decision-making.
- Support mine operations with ice road procurement and resupply through accurate forecasting of required supplies.
- Implement Deswik.OPs to create seamless processes connecting mid-range plans with short-range plans.
- Collaborate with business partners to calculate mineable reserves.
- Identify and implement improvement and operational excellence opportunities.
- Maintain high standards of quality in all work.
- Assist in preparing medium and long-range mine plans.
- Adhere to industry standards and continually seek opportunities for improved design processes.
- Engage and empower others to create a strong safety culture.
- Certificate or Diploma of Technology in Mining with 15 years of underground mining experience or degree in Mine Engineering with 10 years of experience.
- Experience with Deswik and Deswik.OPs is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Power Query, and PowerBi.
