Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial models to inform investment decisions and project proformas.
  • Conduct thorough investment analysis and provide strategic recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Lead the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to set departmental goals, objectives, and policies, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Monitor project cost performance, challenge change orders, and optimize project budgets to enhance profitability.
  • Provide strategic guidance on financing options to support project success and company growth.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, developing recommendations to enhance financial performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including auditors, banks, and investors.
  • Negotiate financing deals, manage cash flow, and ensure accurate financial statements are prepared and filed.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote corporate governance and sound business practices.
  • Participate in incentive design schemes for key management members and support the implementation of operational plans.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in real estate development and/or finance, with a proven track record of success.
  • CFA designation an asset.
  • Experience with raising capital for real estate and managing investor relationships highly valued.
  • Bilingual English/Mandarin preferred.
  • High standards of integrity and ethics, with a strong focus on accountability and respect for deadlines.
  • Deep understanding of real estate risks and macros, with experience in controlling project costs and formulating deal structure.
  • Occasional travel required, with ability to conduct presentations and proficient in computer-based software.

What We Offer:

Competitive base salary range: $250,000 - $350,000 Canadian Dollars, compensated based on experience. Annual bonus based on performance. Extended health and benefits. RRSP - Company Deferred Profit Sharing Plan. Progression to CFO, clearing for growth.
