Medical Assistant Specialist

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years
  • Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment
  • Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience or training in a medical healthcare facility as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Essential Functions

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and evaluating patient needs by way of telephone triage
  • Administering medication, including injections, and documenting medication given or prescribed by the ordering physician as required by specialty
  • Identifying patient and family education needs and providing instruction
  • Recognizing and responding to emergency situations as appropriate
  • Adhering to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information in patient's medical record
  • Facilitating the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician's office

Additional Information

A one-year commitment is required for the sign-on bonus to be paid in full. This position is open to new employees only.
