MAGCOR INC. is seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join our team. As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will be responsible for assisting experienced carpenters in the construction of various projects.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of layouts and measurements to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Operate hand tools and equipment to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
- Contribute to the construction of foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roof systems under the guidance of experienced carpenters.
As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions.
Requirements- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to learn and train is essential.
- Experience: Willingness to train and learn from experienced carpenters.
- Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working in physically demanding conditions.
- Work Conditions: Tight deadlines, large workload, and physically demanding tasks.
- Accurate: Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Judgement: Ability to make sound decisions and prioritize tasks.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors.
