About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Carpenter to join our team at D. Rocha Build's. As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will assist experienced carpenters in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing layouts and measuring tools to ensure conformance to building codes.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for clients.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field.
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments.
  • Physical demands include bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working under tight deadlines.
  • Reliability, accuracy, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, and values and ethics are essential.
