About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Business Partner to join our team at the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. As a key member of our Office of the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a critical role in providing strategic and operational financial advisory services to our business partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Advisory Services: Provide expert financial guidance and analysis to support business decisions, leveraging available systems and tools.
  • Business Partnering: Foster a collaborative dynamic with business stakeholders, understanding both finance and business dimensions to provide proactive analysis and guidance.
  • Financial Process Improvement: Lead finance business improvement activities, focusing on process, system, and reporting enhancements to drive transformation, productivity, and value creation.
  • Performance Measurement: Collaborate on the development, implementation, standardization, and monitoring of performance indicators, measures, and targets to ensure stakeholder expectations are met.
  • Business Analysis: Apply an understanding of business performance measures to deliver analysis and advice that provides meaningful insights into operational and strategic metrics, key expense performance indicators, benchmark comparisons, and other variables.
  • Financial Planning and Costing: Provide advice, guidance, and recommendations to internal clients on business initiatives, business cases, guidelines, policies, risk management, financial planning, and costing in line with CMHC's strategy.
Requirements
  • Education: An undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or commerce.
  • Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in finance-related roles such as FP&A, Finance Business Partnering, Business Analysis, Business Improvement, Commercial Finance.
  • Skills: Results-oriented, team player, strong analytical skills, critical thinking, storytelling with business and commercial acumen mindset, excellent ability to gather and analyze information, synthesize key elements, and summarize with recommendations.
  • Language: Bilingualism (English and French).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree: A master's degree in business administration, a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
  • Professional Certifications: A green Belt or PMP designation.
