Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Protection Specialist to join our team at Home Depot of Canada Inc. as a full-time employee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Detain and Interview: Conduct thorough investigations and interviews with individuals apprehended for shoplifting, ensuring compliance with local laws and company procedures.
  • Case Package Preparation: Compile and complete investigative case packages and statements regarding internal and external theft and fraud for local law enforcement agencies.
  • Security and Safety: Conduct regular floor walks to identify and address potential security risks, providing feedback to store management on safety, security, and shrink standards.
  • Physical Security: Inspect and maintain the physical security of Home Depot facilities to prevent and deter theft and fraudulent activity.
  • Professional Representation: Represent Home Depot in a professional manner during all court-related procedures.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open communication with store management and associates, partnering to drive asset protection initiatives and address AP issues.
  • CCTV and EAS Utilization: Effectively utilize CCTV and Electronic Article Surveillance systems to prevent and detect theft.
  • Surveillance: Conduct surveillance as required to support asset protection efforts.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Meet minimum time-in-position and performance management code requirements.
  • Skills: Possess excellent analytical skills and strong verbal communication abilities.
  • Licenses: Hold valid Security and Driver's Licenses as required by the Province.
  • Transportation: Have access to reliable transportation.
