Job Summary

The position requires in-depth knowledge of civil design and engineering principles. Responsible for planning and conducting independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems, prepare or modify technical drawings, ensure work compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and TEP standards.

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering or a related field is required.
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD is necessary.
  • Telecommunication experience is an asset.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
  • Special consideration will be given to those willing to climb towers and associated field work.
  • Ability to work in Canada is required.

  • Strong organizational skills: ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed-upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
  • Strong project management skills: ability to organize applicable department timelines and follow up with internal and external customer needs as needed.
  • Self-motivated, able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests as well as collaborating with others to utilize resources and knowledge in identifying high-quality solutions.
  • Ability to work with functional groups and different levels of employees throughout the organization to effectively and professionally achieve business results.
  • Strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with both internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Proficient with computer software programs, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Adhere to all company and industry standard/regulations/safety practices.

Work Environment

Hybrid office environment; minimum three days in the office. Work is being performed in a climate-controlled internal office environment.
