Job Summary:

UPS is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team in Kamloops, British Columbia. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of our vehicle fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and repair UPS propane and gasoline vehicles in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Operate and test company vehicles within the UPS facilities.
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure vehicle fleet is in good working condition.

Requirements:

  • Valid Red Seal (license) and possession of essential trade tools and equipment.
  • Able to lift up to 70 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possession of a clean driver's abstract/record showing no violations for the current year and no more than 2 violations for the previous 3 year period.
  • Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work evening and/or night shifts.

Benefits:

  • $31.00 per hour with automatic pay progression as per the existing union Collective Agreement.
  • Unionized role with a defined progression with a top rate of $37.59 after completing 24 months of service.
  • Weekly pay (every Friday) and paid vacation.
  • Group Benefits (Dental and Extended Medical) and Defined Benefit Pension Plan.

Working Conditions:

  • Mainly indoors (in a warehouse or shop) with occasional work outdoors.
  • Exposed to hot/cold temperatures when working outdoors.
  • Wear a UPS Auto Mechanic uniform and adhere to the company's Appearance Guidelines.
