Job Summary

The Shift Manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, as well as training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef
  • Supervise and check assembly of trays
  • Establish work schedules
Work Environment

The Shift Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and walking. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral communication skills, be a team player, and have initiative.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
