Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced law enforcement professional to join our team at CP. As a Police Constable, you will play a critical role in maintaining public safety and enforcing laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety and order
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence to support prosecutions
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance to victims of crime
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to share intelligence and best practices
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community members and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and effectiveness

Requirements

  • Canadian citizenship
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (an asset)
  • Completion of full basic police recruit training with a recognized police service in Canada
  • First-class police constable status and good standing with a recognized Canadian police service
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Criminal Justice System and enforcement under Provincial Statutes
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license for the province of employment
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
  • Ability to meet CP's Police Firearms and Use of Force Standards
  • Pass a psychological evaluation and polygraph exam
