Job Title: Program Coordinator I

Join our team as a Program Coordinator I and contribute to the delivery of the Infectious Disease Control (IDC) program at the Middlesex-London Health Unit.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide leadership to the IDC team, responsible for implementing individual case and contact management, facility and community outbreak management, infection prevention and control complaint investigations, and inspections of personal service settings and institutional food premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead program planning and strategic program level decision-making for the effective and efficient delivery of the IDC program.
  • Provide leadership to the IDC team and ensure staff function in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
  • Implement, lead, and monitor continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives.
  • Develop team guidelines/protocols and contribute to division level policies and procedures.
  • Act as a member of the Environmental Health, Infectious Disease and Clinical Services leadership team and contribute to divisional planning.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years clinical experience with demonstrated skills in leadership, community health, quality assurance, and program planning.
  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Knowledge of public health infection control, case management, prevention, and inspection principles.
  • Excellent project management, budget management, decision-making, quality assurance, and operational planning skills.
  • Well-developed communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and human resources management skills.
