Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Ponderosa Play and Learn Children's Centre Limited. This role is crucial in fostering the growth and development of young children in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work primarily in a child care centre, collaborating with a team of professionals dedicated to early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute child-care programs that enhance the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Facilitate engaging activities such as storytelling, music, and excursions to local attractions.
  • Encourage creative expression through various mediums including art, music, and physical play.
  • Support children in developing healthy habits related to nutrition, dressing, and personal hygiene.
  • Monitor children for any signs of learning or behavioral challenges and prepare reports for parents or supervisors.
  • Set clear behavioral guidelines and expectations.
  • Build and maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment that prioritizes the well-being of children.

  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
