Lead Java Engineer

Axelon Services Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer for an immediate contract opportunity.
This position operates on a Hybrid Schedule.
Candidates must have reliable internet access, a computer, and an Android or iPhone for remote connectivity to client systems during remote work.
In-office attendance is required three days a week, depending on team needs.Interview Process:

Position Overview:
The Senior Java Developer will be a key player within the Global Spread Products Technology team. We are looking for a skilled professional with substantial hands-on experience in crafting server-side components using Java. The role will involve the development of cutting-edge solutions utilizing modern technology stacks. You will engage in new stack development with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, Microservices architecture, and Docker for application deployment. This position entails working on prominent and challenging projects that support Global Spread Products. We value problem solvers who are passionate about technology and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to analyze and develop technical solutions and strategies.
- Work alongside the Technical Lead to deliver optimal solutions for our clients.
- Ensure successful implementation of technical solutions.
- Share knowledge with fellow developers throughout project execution.
- Conduct design, code, test, and technical document reviews.
- Engage in Systems Analysis, Design, Coding, Unit Testing, and other SDLC activities.
- Verify that developed code aligns with business and stakeholder requirements.
- Investigate existing application systems to identify complexities and potential risks.
- Maintain continuous communication with clients and project teams.
- Contribute innovative ideas to the technology team and update stakeholders on development progress.
- Drive enhancements in software architecture, development processes, and the adoption of new technologies.
- Adhere to engineering standards set by the client and ensure compliance across all project modules.
- Uphold essential procedures and assist in defining operational standards and processes.
- Operate effectively with minimal supervision.
Technical Skills Required:
- Expert-level hands-on experience with JAVA/J2EE, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework.
- Proficiency in reactive programming.
- Comprehensive understanding of Microservices and best practices.
- Experience with Spring Boot Microservices is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, MS SQL, or Oracle databases.
- Familiarity with MongoDB.
- Proficient in SCM tools like GIT and project management tools like JIRA.
- Good understanding of OpenShift and Docker.
- Knowledge of Kafka is a plus.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Strong foundations in systems analysis, design, and architecture.
- Ability to mentor and effectively transfer knowledge.
- Capability to contribute to both high-level and low-level system design (e.g., sequence diagrams, class diagrams).
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with business and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in application development or systems analysis.
- Extensive experience in system analysis and UI programming for software applications.
- Ability to adapt priorities swiftly as circumstances change.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and effective written and verbal communication.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
