Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Learning Support Teacher to join our team at School District #27 (Cariboo-Chilcotin). This is a full-time continuing position, commencing September 1st, 2024.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide learning support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and individualized instruction.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, other support staff, and parents to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
  • Assist students with academic and personal goals, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in learning support and special education.
Requirements
  • BC Teaching Certificate or equivalent.
  • BC TQS verification.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
