Nurse Educator

As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a key role in developing and implementing education and training programs for nurses across the organization. You will work closely with the Senior Nurse Manager, Education, and the Director, Regional Nurse Managers, to ensure that all nurses have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement education and training programs for nurses, including orientation, continuing education, and professional development.
- Collaborate with the Specialty Training Team to leverage their expertise in technology and the Learning Management System.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of education and training programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Work with the QA team to ensure that all education and training programs meet quality standards.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to education and training.
- Collaborate with the Nursing Leadership team to develop education and training related to compliance, quality assurance, and individual learning plan needs.
- Participate in decisions about care delivery models and practices as part of contract negotiations.
- Registration in good standing with the licensing College of Nurses for relevant province and other provinces where required.
- Baccalaureate level preparation in Nursing or equivalent required.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Emergency/Critical Care/Oncology nursing or related and relevant knowledge and experience required.
- CPR or ACLS Evidence of strong clinical knowledge in delivering nursing care to different patient populations.
- Knowledge and experience with using and interpreting quality metrics and change management methodologies required.
- Ability to provide support and leadership to advance evidence-based education and processes.
- Strong communication skills and evidence in ability to deliver and influence learning by recipients.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
- Analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
- Ability to lead and manage change as well as coach and mentor a team of professionals.
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy including conflict resolution, collaboration and people leadership skills.
- Strong regulatory knowledge with current clinical understanding.
- A valid driver's license to meet travel requirements or ability to travel to meet business needs.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office or relevant platform).
- Bilingual (French/English) (asset).
