We are seeking a Commercial Financing Analyst to join our dynamic team.

The Role: The Analyst plays a crucial role in the management and enhancement of our commercial mortgage portfolio by evaluating financial and supporting documentation for incoming applications, ensuring compliance with internal policies as well as those of insurers and investors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate financial data related to commercial properties, including rent rolls and operating statements, to assist management in determining appropriate loan sizes, terms, conditions, and pricing.
  • Review third-party reports such as appraisals and environmental assessments to ensure compliance with investor requirements and lending guidelines.
  • Prepare comprehensive loan summaries, including financial analyses and credit documentation, to facilitate the loan approval process.
  • Collaborate with Funders, Investors, Legal teams, and other consultants to ensure all loan conditions are satisfied.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to support the objectives of the commercial mortgage division.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or MBA with a focus in Finance or Real Estate.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant commercial real estate role is preferred, though candidates with varying levels of experience may be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate lending regulations is essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Results-driven and highly motivated.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.

  • Office setting with periods of high volume and tight deadlines.
  • Long periods of sitting and repetitive movements, including keyboard and mouse usage.
  • Multi-tasking may involve communicating with clients while accessing information on a computer.
