Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Event Coordination Specialist to join our team at Halton Healthcare. This role is ideal for individuals who possess exceptional organizational skills and a creative mindset, enabling them to plan, promote, and execute a diverse range of events that significantly impact our community's health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Management: Collaborate with event chairs and committees to strategize and implement key fundraising events, ensuring each event aligns with our mission.
  • Community Engagement: Provide guidance and support for events organized by community and corporate partners, fostering strong relationships.
  • Sponsorship Development: Customize sponsorship proposals and manage a portfolio of potential sponsors, ensuring their integration into event activities.
  • Budget Oversight: Develop and monitor event budgets, ensuring all financial aspects are managed effectively.
  • Volunteer Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage event volunteers, ensuring they are well-prepared to contribute to the success of each event.

Stewardship Initiatives:

  • Lead the planning and execution of stewardship and recognition events, aimed at appreciating our donors and educating the community.
  • Oversee donor appreciation programs, ensuring that individual donors feel valued and recognized.
  • Coordinate stewardship strategies for corporate and community partners, highlighting their contributions.
  • Maintain accurate records of donor recognition efforts, including recognition walls and naming opportunities.

Additional Duties:

  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of events and stewardship programs, contributing to strategic business development.
  • Assist with other organizational programs during peak times, ensuring seamless operations.

Qualifications:

  • A diploma or degree from a recognized institution, along with relevant experience in event management or fundraising.
  • Proven experience in coordinating events and managing logistics.
  • Experience in volunteer management and collaboration with committees.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications; familiarity with CRM systems is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to deadlines are essential.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivation, and a commitment to teamwork.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a hybrid role, requiring time spent in a shared office environment.
  • Flexibility to work outside traditional hours may be necessary based on operational needs.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.
