The Market Research division is the core of CoStar, gathering essential market information that enables our commercial real estate clients to make informed, impactful business choices every day. CoStar Group's research plays a vital role in the economy, assisting businesses in establishing offices, retail outlets, warehouses, and manufacturing sites. CoStar Group is looking for a Market Research Associate to join our expanding research team.

As a Market Research Associate, you will cultivate relationships with key decision-makers across various commercial real estate sectors available for sale and/or lease. Through these interactions, you will enhance their listings, ensuring maximum visibility on our platform. Additionally, you will gather critical market information that allows our clients to make informed, high-impact business decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Support the development of a precise and comprehensive database of commercial real estate listings.
  2. Conduct over 50 daily inbound and outbound calls with brokers, developers, investors, and other real estate professionals to collect real-time property and transaction data.
  3. Investigate new property listings, recent sales and lease transactions, ownership details, and construction activities in a given market.
  4. Establish and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with clients.
  5. Collaborate with clients to assist them in positioning and marketing their properties on the CoStar platform for the target market/audience.
  6. Analyze trends and work with regionally-based teams to validate data that narrates the story of an entire market.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor's degree.
  2. Willingness to work shifts aligned with EST, CST, MST, or PST time zones.
  3. At least eight months of experience in a customer service role.
  4. Permanent authorization to work in the United States.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Innate curiosity, determination, and the ability to conduct thorough investigative research.
  2. Demonstrated success in meeting metrics or key performance indicators (KPI).
  3. Experience in communicating with internal business partners and external clients via phone.
  4. Goal-oriented with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, adapt to changing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Capability to develop and nurture client relationships through effective interviews with commercial real estate professionals, leading to database enhancements.
  6. Customer-centric approach to tasks, with a focus on partnering with clients.
  7. Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
  8. Demonstrated knowledge of and/or experience in the commercial real estate sector.
  9. Proficiency in Excel, including data manipulation, filtering, and basic formula development.
  10. Ability to accurately capture and input data.
  11. Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances in a high-growth company.
