About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sushi Chef to join our team at MOON BENTO SUSHI. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook sushi dishes to the highest standards, using fresh and seasonal ingredients.
  • Develop and implement new sushi recipes and menu items, ensuring they meet our quality and presentation standards.
  • Train and mentor junior chefs in sushi preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and safe food preparation and service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and high-quality food presentation.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a sushi chef in a high-volume restaurant or sushi bar.
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and motivate junior staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with attention to detail and high standards of quality.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
