Material Planner - Packaging
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Material Planner to oversee the management of raw materials and packaging components within our manufacturing operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that production schedules are met efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the availability of raw materials for production to satisfy the demand for finished goods.
- Manage release scheduling to suppliers for raw materials and components, addressing any supply chain issues that arise.
- Guarantee that adequate packaging materials are on hand to meet daily production requirements.
- Analyze supplier releases using the T4M System based on MRP demand and communicate these needs to suppliers.
- Plan and monitor delivery frequencies for all inbound materials and components to facilitate the smooth execution of production schedules.
- Provide suppliers with forecasts to assist in accurate material projections.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in materials management, with a preference for candidates who have experience in inventory control and a solid background in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, and time management skills are essential for success in this role.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and MRP processes is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to work a consistent afternoon shift.
