Position Overview

The Guru Fine Indian Cuisine is seeking a dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our vibrant kitchen team. This role involves a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the overall dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, ensuring quality and presentation.
  • Dietary Accommodations: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Kitchen Inspection: Regularly inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Staff Training: Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling practices.
  • Supply Management: Order supplies and equipment necessary for kitchen operations.
  • Supervision: Oversee kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Workplace Cleanliness: Ensure the kitchen and work areas are kept clean and organized.
  • Staff Recruitment: Assist in recruiting and hiring new kitchen staff.
  • Event Management: Organize buffets and banquets as required.
  • Kitchen Management: Manage daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth service.
Qualifications
  • Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
