POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you passionate about making a difference in a vibrant and innovative consulting environment? Ecora is seeking an Environmental Assessment Specialist to enhance our growing Environmental Site Assessments and Remediation Department at our Surrey office on a permanent full-time basis. We are devoted to providing outstanding quality service to our clients and possess extensive expertise in conducting site assessments and remediation of contaminated locations, delivering various ecological inventories and evaluations, preparing environmental and sustainable resource management strategies, performing third-party reviews of development proposals, and creating comprehensive assessments of environmental impacts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Oversee and execute contaminated site assessment initiatives, hydrogeological studies, and sampling programs for soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and soil vapor, as well as remediation projects.
  2. Conduct Stage 1 and 2 Preliminary Site Investigations, which include historical research, site evaluations, and the preparation of comprehensive reports.
  3. Perform assessments for Underground Storage Tank (UST) Excavation, encompassing soil and groundwater sampling, data interpretation, and report generation.
  4. Carry out detailed site investigations, including soil and groundwater sampling, borehole drilling, well installation, data analysis, and the creation of final reports and AutoCAD illustrations.
  5. Engage in field surveys, inspections, and technical evaluations of environmental systems to collect project data.
  6. Assist in the development of environmental specifications and technical drawings.
  7. Work autonomously and collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
  8. Enhance and uphold quality control measures for project timelines, budgeting, scheduling, and quality standards.
  9. Prepare proposals, budgets, project timelines, technical memoranda, correspondence, and reports.
  10. Represent the company in a professional manner while maintaining effective internal relationships and confidentiality.
  11. Maintain records in compliance with professional regulations and the company's Quality Management Policy.
  12. Manage and prioritize tasks according to project demands.
  13. Conduct site visits as necessary for fieldwork.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Technical diploma in environmental sciences or a related field.
  2. Professional certification (AScTT/ AScT) is an advantage.
  3. Strong organizational skills, verbal communication, technical writing, and data analysis capabilities are essential.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  5. Awareness of health and safety regulations is crucial.
  6. A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required.
PREFERRED SKILLS
  1. A positive mindset with a readiness to learn.
  2. Experience in drafting with AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu.
  3. Background in environmental sampling and site assessments.
  4. Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint.
