The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and transformative Senior Vice President of Information Technology (IT) to lead the global IT strategy and operations. The IT organization has never been more of a strategic partner to businesses as it is today. The SVP of IT will drive transformation initiatives, oversee the optimization of technology infrastructure, and enable innovative solutions to support business objectives.

Your Impact:

  • Leading and inspiring your global IT team, along with your business partners, to evaluate new technology trends, develop compelling business cases, build strategic roadmaps, and ideate and innovate compelling solutions that maximize return on investment for OpenText.
  • Driving the cultural changes necessary to transform the internal software development lifecycle to focus on increased agility and quality, increased automation, reduce time to deliver, and usher in a continuous delivery approach.
  • Forming strong, lasting relationships across the enterprise. Advise, counsel, and educate leadership on opportunities to leverage technology to effectively meet business goals.
  • Providing insights, developing, and delivering M&A integration programs. Through your experience, you know your way around due diligence cycles, pre-close processes, and how to identify red flags.
  • Creating and fostering partnerships with our vendors and advisors.

  • Vendor Management: Establish and manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with global IT regulations, standards, and policies, while implementing best practices in IT governance.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 15+ years of IT leadership experience, including 7+ years in a senior leadership role, preferably in a large multinational corporation.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and digital transformation, and experience with market-leading platforms including Salesforce and SAP.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead global teams, drive change, and execute complex technology strategies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Business Understanding: Deep understanding of how technology drives business value, with experience collaborating with C-level executives to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among senior leaders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a track record of solving complex IT challenges and driving innovation.
