We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at J.E. Agnew Food Services Ltd. as a key member of our cafeteria and coffee shop operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff
    • Establish efficient methods to meet work schedules and ensure seamless food service operations.
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
  • Train and Develop Staff
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Customer Service and Relations
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure excellent customer service and maintain a positive reputation for our cafeteria and coffee shop.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Supervision and Team Management
    • Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys to ensure timely and efficient service.
    • Establish work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Standing for extended periods and walking required.
    • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure essential.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Client focus and excellent interpersonal skills required.
    • Efficient communication and teamwork essential.
