About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Technologist to join our team at Dillon Consulting. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for collaborating with engineers, planners, and technical staff to develop detailed design contract packages.
Responsibilities
- Assist project managers and engineers in the functional and detailed design of transportation structures;
- Complete detailed design drafting for various project types;
- Apply 2D and 3D CAD software to produce design drawings;
- Prepare construction drawings and documents;
- Assist with contract administration tasks, including construction observation and shop drawing review;
- Coordinate and complete site assessments and construction management of site documentation;
- Business travel to other Dillon offices as required.
Learning and Development
- Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development;
- Participate in Dillon's early career development program;
- Receive guidance and support from senior drafters and engineers with extensive experience.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Architectural or Engineering Technologist Program or equivalent;
- 2-5 years of experience in the engineering consulting industry;
- Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills;
- Proficient use of current AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other Bridge Information Modeling (BrIM) software;
- Knowledge of relevant municipal/provincial/industry engineering standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
