Job Summary

Baker Tilly Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Assurance Manager to join our Audit and Advisory practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing client engagements, providing assurance and accounting services to owner-managed businesses, and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage client engagements by providing assurance and accounting services to owner-managed businesses.
  • Manage project financials, including budgets, WIP, timely billing and collection, and variance recognition.
  • Work under tight deadlines, delivering quality work, and anticipating and resolving client issues in a timely manner.
  • Generate new business opportunities by promoting the firm's expertise and services, as well as developing ideas and solutions.
  • Mentor, train, and develop junior and senior staff.
  • Comply with all confidentiality policies of the firm and applicable regulatory authorities.
Requirements
  • Canadian CPA, CA designation.
  • At least 4 years of public accounting experience in the audit function.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises, IFRS, and Canadian corporate and personal tax.
  • Thorough knowledge and application of relevant professional standards, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients as a trusted business advisor.
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple projects with conflicting timelines.
  • Experience with MS Office, CaseWare, and tax return software.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to effectively work with others in teams.
  • Strong commitment to professional client service excellence.
