Position Overview

The Cash Flow and Leveraged Lending Manager will oversee a portfolio of mid-market clients within CWB Maxium's diversified sector, typically managing clients with EBITDA exceeding $3 million and financing needs over $10 million. Key responsibilities include assisting the Managing Director with client relations, transaction finalization, portfolio oversight, financial analysis, modeling, and credit documentation. This role also involves engaging in pitches for new financing opportunities and expanding Maxium's market share. The position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and requires a proactive, organized individual with strong skills in risk evaluation, financial analysis, and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities Client Support and Service
  • Develop and present tailored lending proposals and discussion documents to both prospective and existing clients, leading financial assessments and credit communications.
  • Engage regularly with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill credit-related requests associated with underwriting and loan documentation.
  • Ensure a superior client experience, fostering long-term relationships and acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Assist in drafting discussion papers, coordinating terms, and closing deals with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clients to create financial models and analytical tools for evaluating capital and financing structures.
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring and management of assigned portfolio accounts, ensuring annual reviews are completed and potential issues are identified.
Financial Analysis
  • Deliver precise and comprehensive financial analysis and risk assessments for new and existing clients.
  • Draft initial credit evaluations, collaborate with the credit team to finalize formal credit applications, and ensure risk-taking aligns with CWB Maxium's lending standards.
  • Coordinate with external advisors and law firms for structuring deals and legal documentation of complex transactions.
  • Assist clients with financing renewals, negotiate new loan and credit terms, and support the adjudication process.
Relationship Management

Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or commerce.
  • Professional designation (MBA/CPA/CFA) is required.
Professional Experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial services within commercial or corporate banking.
  • Experience in structuring cash flow/leveraged lending or with private debt funds is advantageous.
  • Proven track record in closing large, complex corporate transactions with leading law firms is a plus.
  • Experience in credit adjudication, with strong capabilities in financial statement analysis and risk mitigation strategies for complex corporate cash flow/leveraged lending transactions.
