About the Role

Cash-A-Cheque is seeking a highly skilled Banking Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our tellers and ensuring the smooth operation of our banking services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Authorize Routine Transactions: Supervise and authorize routine deposits and withdrawals, ensuring accuracy and adherence to banking regulations.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to maximize productivity and minimize errors.
  • Verify Work Accuracy: Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy and completeness of work performed by tellers.
  • Prepare and Submit Reports: Compile and submit regular reports on banking operations, including transaction volumes and any issues or concerns.
  • Perform Same Duties as Workers Supervised: Assist tellers with their duties as needed, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Recruit and Hire Staff: Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for new tellers, ensuring that candidates meet the necessary qualifications and skills.
  • Maintain Operation of Computer Systems: Ensure the smooth operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery, arranging for repairs as needed to maintain business continuity and customer service delivery.
  • Review and Update Credit and Loan Files: Conduct regular reviews of credit and loan files to ensure accuracy and compliance with banking regulations.
  • Prepare Statements on Delinquent Accounts: Prepare statements on delinquent accounts, working with customers to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Forward Irreconcilable Accounts for Collector Action: Forward irreconcilable accounts to our collection team for further action.
  • Complete Credit and Loan Documentation: Prepare and complete credit and loan documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with banking regulations.
  • Authorize Loan and Credit Applications: Authorize loan and credit applications, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Process Money, Cheques, and Credit/Debit Card Payments: Process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with banking regulations.
  • Manage Cash: Manage cash handling procedures, ensuring that all cash transactions are accurate and secure.
Supervision
  • Tellers and Financial Services Staff: Supervise and manage a team of tellers and financial services staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • 1-2 People: Supervise a team of 1-2 people, providing individualized attention and support to ensure success.
Computer and Technology Knowledge
  • MS Office: Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Google Docs: Familiarity with Google Docs and other cloud-based productivity tools.
