Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team and lead the development of a brand new Amplitude product for the Android platform. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing features that will revolutionize the data setup experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop features for the Android platform, ensuring seamless integration with our analytics SDK.
  • Reduce friction in the data setup experience, from SDK integration to building the first chart within Amplitude.
  • Write and test code in multiple programming languages, including Java, Kotlin, and Swift.
  • Provide technical support to engineers deploying our analytics SDKs in their applications.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality developer documentation, including READMEs and technical docs.
  • Extend our CI/CD pipeline to automate the build process, testing, and deployment of SDKs to their respective package managers.
Requirements
  • Experience building SDKs or libraries for mobile platforms.
  • Familiarity with building apps for iOS and Android using Swift, Kotlin, React Native, or Flutter.
  • Experience working with game engines is a plus.
  • Proven track record of shipping libraries with elegant APIs used broadly within your company or externally as OSS.
