Service Writer Opportunity
Maxim Truck and Trailer is seeking a skilled Service Writer to join our team at our Thunder Bay location. As a Service Writer, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring seamless communication between customers and our shop, and driving profitable work for Maxim.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer requests, obtain necessary information, and handle customer complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Perform unit intake process, including checking for previous repairs and warranties, to ensure accurate and efficient service delivery.
- Provide regular updates to customers, maintain open communication, and address any changes to quotes or additional work required.
- Conduct new unit check-in process, ensuring damages are recorded and necessary case files are started to obtain authorization for repairs.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on medium/heavy duty trucks.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively.
- Strong technical product knowledge, with a focus on repair time length and work order management.
- Basic computer experience, including MS Word, Internet, email, keyboarding, and data entry.
- Organized, with the ability to set and meet priorities, and strong attention to detail.
