Key Responsibilities- Product Planning and Development: Manage the product life cycle, including market research, product specification, design, launch, and maintenance phases.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct research to identify market requirements for current and future products, and analyze industry trends to forecast future product needs.
- Product Marketing: Develop and execute product marketing plans, working closely with Marketing to define strategic planning and customer targets.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Engineering to define product release requirements and modifications, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Competitive Analysis: Complete regular competitive product and price comparisons to ensure the company's products remain competitive in the market.
- Product Improvement: Analyze and prioritize requests for product improvements, and determine industry trends to ensure the company's strategic goals are met.
- Training and Development: Develop product training materials, and travel to dealers and attend farm shows to promote the company's products.
- Experience: A minimum of five (5) years experience as a Product Manager or combination of experience in a directly related progressive role.
- Industry Knowledge: Five (5) or more years experience with agricultural equipment is strongly preferred.
- Education: Related post-secondary education would be a definite asset.
- Skills: Strong product and project management skills, good knowledge base with mechanical systems, strong verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge of computers and software, such as Microsoft Office products.
