The Inventory Coordinator plays a critical role in our warehouse's inventory management and control processes. This position involves working closely with our team to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management.
Responsibilities- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records on a daily basis.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile against our SAP system to ensure accuracy.
- Research and resolve daily inventory variances to minimize discrepancies.
- Reconcile monthly and annual inventory to our SAP system to ensure accuracy.
- Identify and report close-dated products to prevent stockouts.
- Lead and conduct inventory audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Communicate control opportunities to management to improve internal controls.
- Analyze and identify areas for improvement in internal controls to optimize cost-benefit relationships.
- Become a subject matter expert on field-level inventory internal controls in accordance with our Controls Policy and Procedures Manual.
- Provide training on policies, procedures, and controls to facility staff.
- Assist with annual independent inventory counts for full goods.
- Review inventory variance reports daily and work with the inventory analyst to resolve issues.
- Ensure adherence to financial and operational control policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by management.
- Document all audit activities, including internal control audits and independent counts.
- Assist with training and remediation of internal control issues.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent business experience.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, and warehouse operations, finance, or accounting, or audit experience.
- Supervisory experience is an asset.
- CPA certification is an asset.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, stand, walk, kneel, bend, and reach 50+ pounds.
