Job Title: School Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and organized School Assistant to join our team at the York Region District School Board. As a School Assistant, you will provide supervisory support to teaching staff during peak or critical periods of the school day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise students during lunch periods and yard duty
  • Provide support to teaching staff as needed
  • Assist with maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment
  • Complete online health and safety training prior to start date
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience working with children an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
