Job Summary:

The York Region District School Board is seeking a Support Staff - School Assistant to provide supervisory support to teaching staff during peak or critical periods of the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervisory support to teaching staff during lunch periods and as needed by the school
  • Assist with yard duty supervision
  • Complete online health and safety training prior to start date
  • Participate in school in-service training

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a school setting an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
